Evolution of the name of Chagan Lake
Chagan Lake was called "Dashuibo" and "Dayu Bo" in Song and Liao Dynasties. "Wu Hujing's Master Yao" edited by Ceng Gongliang in the Northern Song Dynasty records: "The water is three hundred li". Liao Taizu (9 16) called this place "Duckling" after the founding of the People's Republic of China, which was the fishing and hunting place of the Qidan nobles. In the Ming Dynasty, Chagan Lake was called "Chahan Lake in Baibul". Later, it was called Chaganpao and Hanhe, 1983 (one said 1984), and Jilin Province was officially renamed Chagan Lake, which means White Lake in Mongolian.
