During the construction of Maanshan wheel tire project, the project headquarters was located in Yushan District, Maanshan City. It is dusty on sunny days, and there is red mud half a foot deep on rainy days, which is very difficult to walk. Sometimes it takes a lot of effort to step on it to pull it out. In order to complete the project as soon as possible, he went to the construction site almost every day, always carrying an umbrella, and walked from the headquarters to the construction site step by step to fight with the construction workers. The 8000-ton hydraulic press is a very important large-scale equipment in wheel and tire engineering. The upper beam of the hydraulic press should be loaded from the top of four columns with a diameter of 450 cm and a spacing of 2 meters. The gap between the hole of the beam and the column is only 0.2 mm, and the design weight of the beam is 75 tons, but the actual weight is not only 75 tons, but 87 tons, that is, the actual weight exceeds the design weight 12 tons, thus causing serious problems about whether the strength of the workshop, crane and hanging beam is enough. The factory building has been built, and the crane runs back and forth in the factory building, so it is impossible to make a beam again. Obviously, this is the case of "uncooked rice cooked into mature rice", and we can only study how to solve the problem of beam hoisting from the realistic conditions. Can the 87-ton beam be lifted by 50-ton crane and 25-ton crane according to the original design? Faced with this big problem, Li Feiping organized repeated research and discussion. At the same time, organize forces to repeatedly check the crane beam. The checking results show that the 50-ton crane can overload 58 tons and the 25-ton crane can overload 3 1 ton, both of which are within the insurance coefficient. This result is very popular. Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., now known as "a flower in the south of the Yangtze River", is the only enterprise that produces wheels and tires in China, and has become the largest tire factory and super-large steel joint venture in Asia.
