Breakthrough progress has been made in the archaeology of the Southern Silk Road, and the context of "primitive culture", "ethnic corridor" and "Han site tombs" has been clearly presented to the world. At present, archaeological achievements have passed expert certification.
This archaeological investigation and exploration was jointly conducted by the Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Panzhihua and Liangshan Prefecture Cultural Relics and Archaeological Departments. Eight sites, four stone tombs and three Ming Dynasty urns and coffins were found along the Panxi Expressway 126 km under construction. And discovered the living area of Dongping Han Dynasty copper smelting site. The most striking sites are Maojiakan and Hejiaba in Dechang, which are well-preserved and rich in cultural relics. Archaeologists also collected stone chisels, axes, perforated stone knives and a large number of Neolithic pottery fragments. More importantly, the site also collected microlithic cores and stone leaves. The discovery of microliths is the first time in Liangshan area, which has very important historical and archaeological value. Along the highway, archaeologists also found more than a dozen stone tombs as evidence of the "national migration corridor", and more than 200 have been found here before. Dashi Tomb is the most distinctive tomb in the Anning River Basin, dating back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period to the Qin and Han Dynasties. Experts believe that it is the tomb of Qionglai people, which provides very important material data for uncovering the mystery that Qionglai people disappeared in southwest China. According to the investigation, Dongping Han Dynasty copper smelting site integrates mining, copper smelting and coinage. There are five Thai baht coins and cash coins left in the site, which are adjacent to the living area. According to experts' research, this may be an official "mint" established in the south of Han Dynasty. At the expert review meeting on August 12, experts agreed that this archaeological discovery made a breakthrough, which not only promoted the archaeology of the entire "Southern Silk Road" to a higher level, but also provided detailed information for the study of the "Southern Silk Road" and was of great significance for studying the cultural connotation of ancient southwest ethnic minorities.
