What is the origin of Suzhou Tiger Hill?
According to legend, during the Spring and Autumn Period, Fu Cha, the king of Wu, buried his father here. On the third day after burial, a white tiger perched on it, hence the name Tiger Hill. The mountain is only 36 meters high, but it has towering old trees and many places of interest around it. There are many hills and scenic spots, which is a major feature of Tiger Hill. In particular, the Millennium Tiger Hill stands on the mountain, making it a famous tourist attraction since ancient times. Su Dongpo said, "It's a pity that Suzhou doesn't visit Tiger Hill." There are many historical sites and rich legends in Tiger Hill. Known as "the first scene in Wuzhong", it combines nymph and mountain rhyme.

According to another legend, the word "Tiger Hill" is not a strict original book, but was engraved on the supplementary book by later generations, so there is a saying that "a real sword pool is a fake tiger hill" in the local area. The so-called sword pool is a pool as narrow as a sword under a cliff. The tomb of He Lv, the prince of Wu, may be here. It is said that at that time, 3,000 fish intestine swords and other swords were used to bury the King of Wu, hence the name Jianchi. There is a stone well on the mountain, which is said to have been dug by Lu Yu in the Tang Dynasty. It is called "Lu Yujing". Lu Yu is the author of China's first tea book "Tea Classic". According to the Records of Suzhou Prefecture, Lu Yu once lived in Huqiu for a long time, studying tea and writing tea classics. He found Huqiu spring sweet and delicious, and was rated as "the fifth spring in the world".

There is also an interesting legend circulating in Suzhou. I don't know which dynasty it belongs to, but the tiger hill is leaning more and more seriously, which makes my father-in-law very worried. He thought about it and could only save Tiger Hill with great strength. That night, men, women and children in Suzhou had a dream, in which they were told to pull a rope to straighten the tiger hill. When I woke up the next morning, everyone felt backache. It is said that the custom of eating "supporting cakes" in Suzhou started from this incident. These places of interest have many fascinating historical legends and fairy tales.
