Xibei Town is located in the north of Xishan District, which belongs to Xishan District of Wuxi City. The town government is located in Xigang West Road, Zhangjing.
Xibei Town was formed by the merger of Bashi Town and Zhangjing Town, and the town government was stationed in Zhangjing. With a total area of 62.38 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over three communities, namely Bashi, Zhangjing and Doosan Garden, and three administrative villages, namely Xinba, Bashi, Lian Xin, Jinfeng, Doosan, Feng Chun, Dongfang Bridge, Guangming, Zhaimen, Jingxi, Jingxin, Xin Ming, Zhoujiage, Shuangqiao and Furong 13.

Historical evolution of Xishan district
Xishan has a history of human activities of more than 5000 years. The recorded history can be traced back to the end of Shang Dynasty more than 3000 years ago.
In the 0/2nd century BC/kloc, Tai Bo, the eldest son of Gu Gong's husband (Zhou), moved to Meili (now Meicun Town, New District) to make way for his third brother and take his second brother south to Manchuria, hence the name "".
In the fifth year of Emperor Gaozu (202 BC), Wuxi County was established, belonging to Huiji County. In the second year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1724), Wuxi County was divided into Wuxi County and Jingui County.
In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), it was merged into one and renamed as Wuxi County, which was originally located in Su Chang Road, Jiangsu Province, and 1927 was directly under Jiangsu Province.
