Historical drought in Hubei Province
Since July this year, there has been a rare high-temperature heat wave in China, and many places have suffered from continuous extreme high-temperature weather. The temperature has exceeded the historical extreme, and the high temperature of 40℃ is not uncommon. The continuous high temperature and lack of rain caused severe drought in China, and the water level of many rivers dropped to the lowest point in history or even dried up, and many historical sites originally covered by water bodies were exposed.

On August 23rd, Shijiawan Reservoir, located at the foot of Daishan Mountain in Longjiao Mountain range, Dazhi, Hubei Province, was almost completely exposed to the water after the water receded due to drought. Rare historical sites also attracted the public to watch.

The water level of a reservoir in Hubei dropped, revealing an ancient archway. Where did the ancient archway come from?

This memorial archway belonged to Yong Zhengdi in Qing Dynasty more than 280 years ago. This ancient archway is about 5 meters high and supported by four stone pillars. The first floor has been destroyed. On the front and back of the second floor, there are three characters "Xiao Jie Square". There are eighteen arhats and two lions playing with flowers on the front of the third floor. In order to commend Wu Lunqi, a woman from Shijia Village, Dajipu, Daye, in the Qing Dynasty, Yong Zhengdi issued an imperial edict to erect a tall and exquisite archway "Xiao Jie Square" halfway up the mountain in Shi Jia.

It is understood that this is the second time that the ancient archway has revealed its true colors. The first time it revealed its true content can be traced back to 12 years ago, that is, 1958, when the reservoir was reinforced. This year, the average place is over 40℃, which is unbelievable. The Yangtze River basin has experienced a rare drought since 196 1, and the magnificent Dongting Lake has experienced vicissitudes in just one month, with the water level plummeting, fish dying and the riverbed turning into a green grassland.

Including Europe, high temperature and drought are also very serious. The Rhine has reached a very low water level, and the dry riverbed in many places has been exposed. The upper Thames is cut off, and the Rhine is nearly cut off. It can be said that this year's high temperature and drought are global.

Except? Xiexiaofang archway emerges from the water. Due to this year's drought, historical sites in many places have been exposed. For example, the Foyeliang Island Reef in Banan District of Chongqing is submerged in the river all the year round and exposed to the water. Three cliff statues were found at the highest point of the reef, which has a history of nearly 600 years. The water flow of Dadu River, Qingyi River and Minjiang River in Leshan City, Sichuan Province has decreased obviously. Leshan Giant Buddha located at the intersection of the three rivers? The real body? It's all exposed Hubei Ezhou,? The first pavilion on the Yangtze River? Your Excellency's large reef base is exposed, and the whole Guanyin Pavilion is like growing on a reef, revealing its true meaning.

Conclusion: There are many people around the historical relics that show their true colors, but the riverside is unpredictable, so we should pay more attention to safety.
