Preparation materials: pen and paper, drawing board, pigment, eraser.

1. Draw the outline of the Forbidden City, draw a trapezoid at the bottom, draw a regular rectangle on the trapezoid, and then draw a small rectangle. Draw the eaves of the Forbidden City on each rectangle, and pay attention to draw convex parts on each side of the eaves.

2. Then draw the brick part and column railing part of the eaves with black lines. The lines of bricks and tiles should not be too far apart, and the gaps in the middle should be the same.

3. Draw two regular rectangles on the upper part of the trapezoid, one on each side, an inverted trapezoid in the middle of the two rectangles, and an arch under the inverted trapezoid.

Paint the eaves of the Forbidden City gold, the columns and railings red, the walls outside the Forbidden City light red, the two small rectangles blue and the arches red. Such a picture of the Forbidden City is completed.
