Lingbao city has a long history, formed by the merger of Lingbao and Ganxiang counties. Lingbao County was founded in Ding Yuan in the third year of Han Dynasty (BC 1 14), and later renamed as Hongnong County in Han Dynasty, Taolin County in Sui Dynasty and Lingbao County in the first year of Tang Tianbao. Ganxiang County was known as Huxian County in history, but it was renamed as Hucheng County in Zheng Guang in the Northern Wei Dynasty, belonging to Xihengnong County. Northern Zhou belongs to hongnong county. Sui Huangkai first belonged to Shaanxi Province. After 16 years (596 years), it was abolished and then recovered.
In the third year of Tang Dynasty (760), it was changed to county. In the fourth year of Dali (769), it was restored to the county of protecting the city. In the fourth year of Xining in the Northern Song Dynasty (107 1), it was abandoned into Lingbao County, and it was restored in the sixth year of Yuanfeng (1083). Yuan Shizu Zhiyuan two years (1265), abandoned into Ganxiang; /kloc-in 0/954, townships and counties were abolished and merged into Lingbao county.
