The Development Trend and Reasons of Civil Society and Culture in Song Dynasty
The civic culture in Song Dynasty is an important symbol of China's cultural development. "Discourse community" is an important support for the formation of civil culture in Song Dynasty, which has always been ignored by historians, especially those in Song Dynasty. This is of great significance for understanding the formation of folk culture in Song Dynasty and uncovering the picture of social life in Song Dynasty. Keywords: Song Dynasty; Academic qualifications move down; Discourse community; Civic culture formed the discourse community and civic culture in Song Dynasty. To discuss the social and cultural history and urban and rural social life in the Song Dynasty, I want to start with a historical phenomenon in the Song Dynasty. That is, under the premise of all-round political and economic changes in the Song Dynasty, cultural education stepped out of the trough of class culture and shifted its focus from the upper nobility to the lower civilian society, which brought about the internalization of the thoughts, life concepts and culture of the civilian class in the Song Dynasty. On this premise, the New Culture Movement was formed, which should be regarded as a very important cultural movement in the history of cultural development in the Song Dynasty and even in China. Why was this cultural movement formed in the Song Dynasty? Once it was formed, it had a wide and far-reaching influence on urban and rural social life in Song Dynasty with its powerful cultural power. I put forward a topic to discuss this historical phenomenon from one angle, that is, I put forward the concept of "discourse community" to reveal this historical phenomenon. According to this concept, I hope to expand the formation of civic culture in Song Dynasty to a broader social level, that is, the education that has not paid much attention to the study of traditional cultural history has moved down, the practical activities of civic intellectuals, the practical activities of civic classes, and the collapse of the court square market. This paper analyzes the formation of citizen culture in Song Dynasty from the following factors: court artists entering the lower class, folk artists entering the city and the palace entertainment circle, and the consumption cultural life of emperors, nobles and princes.
