China has used the word "femme fatale" to describe women's habits since ancient times, and even some beauties will be described as "bringing disaster to the country and people". Why is a weak woman described as being able to shake the country? Actually, it is also related to many historical allusions. For example, we are all familiar with the stories of countries where women were in trouble in history, such as Su Daji, the fox demon. But in the final analysis, women are also described as "femme fatale", which is more a reflection of the idea that men are superior to women.

Su Daji, in particular, was described as a fox demon in later history books and historical novels. The reputation of thousands of years has made Su Daji's image of "Fox Demon" deeply rooted in people's hearts. Therefore, it seems less unacceptable that the Shang Dynasty perished because of a woman in Su Daji. But did the Shang Dynasty really perish because of Su Daji? What was the real Su Daji like in history?

In fact, it is absolutely exaggerated to say that Su Daji has hurt the whole country. No, experts excavated Su Daji's tomb in Henan in the early 20th century. After they opened the tomb, they all bluntly said: We have wronged da ji for thousands of years. It turned out that according to the records of cultural relics in the tombs that attacked the Su tribe, the process of acquisition was restored, and it was known that it was only "chips" and "goods" at that time. The records about Su Daji in cultural relics are far more than the historical books written by historians such as Sima Qian, which also gives us a better understanding of that long history.

Zhou Wang is a famous bad king in history, but his real name is not Zhou Wang, but "Di Xin" (for convenience, Zhou Wang will be used below). Zhou Wang is actually a very brave man. According to records, he has a bad temper and infinite strength, and can fight wild animals. He has good eloquence and temperament, but he is lewd, alcoholic and willful. It can be said that this image is far from the image of fatuity and incompetence in literary works.

When Zhou Wang ascended the throne, the Shang Dynasty had existed for hundreds of years, and its national strength was strong. Around BC 1030, he led an army to attack the "Youzhou" ruled by the Sioux (now wen county, Henan). At that time, the commercial army was very strong, and the Soviet Union was no match at all, so it was quickly captured. In order to save the tribal people, the ruler who owns Su decided to give the famous beauty in the tribe as a gift to the lecherous, in exchange for the life of the tribal people, but just one of many beautiful women.

According to Historical Records, Su Daji was attracted by Zhou Wang and became his wife because of her beautiful appearance. Judging from this historical record, Su Daji at that time did not have the ability to bring disaster to the country and the people as recorded in later history books. She is just a political victim, a poor woman, who was given up for peace on one side. Obviously, she is a woman who is regarded as a victim. Why is Su Can Daji described as a "fox" that brings disaster to the country and people?

I have to talk about Su Daji's record in the history books. For example, there is a description of Su Daji in "Biography of Women": "da ji is a match, confused for repair ... admonishing prisoners". To put it simply, Zhou Wang is ignorant under the charm of da ji and likes to abuse the people. In addition, Biography of Women also said that as long as they are praised by da ji, Zhou Wang will give them prosperity; Da Ji hates people, and Zhou Wang will kill them. In addition, there is a classic record about Su Daji in Historical Records: "da ji kept his word", which labeled Su Daji as disaster and chaos.

However, we should know that both Women's History and Historical Records have exceeded 1000 years since Su Daji lived. 1000 years is enough to bury a lot of real history, and people can only imagine a "disastrous Su Daji" based on fragmentary historical fragments.

In fact, when Zhou Wang attacked the Soviet Union, he was already a lecherous king who liked to drink and have fun. Later, Su Daji became his wife, only to amplify his debauchery again. It can only be said that the timing of Su Daji's appearance made her bear the "historical stigma" that should not belong to her. Because even without Su Daji, it was only a matter of time before the Shang Dynasty, which was already tottering at that time, perished.

If it weren't for the excavation of da ji's tomb, perhaps Su Daji would continue to be regarded as a leprechaun who brought disaster to the country and people. No wonder the experts are wrong about her. However, in the history of China, there are many things that make women bear the fault of national destruction, such as Yang Guifei and Li Shishi. As mentioned earlier, in feudal China, men were superior to women and women's status was low. So in later records, people always like to attribute all the faults to women. Isn't it worth pondering that a weak woman has shaken the foundation of the whole country?
