1, Hemudu site

Hemudu site, located in Yuyao and excavated at 1973, is an important Neolithic site in southern China. The rice residue and hundreds of bones found in it advanced the history of rice cultivation in China to 7,000 years ago, corrected the traditional view that japonica rice cultivated in China was introduced from India and indica rice was introduced from Japan, and established the academic view that rice cultivated in China originated from the mainland.

2. Baoguo Temple
