Brief introduction of Bahe River
Bahe, a tributary of Weihe River, a tributary of the Yellow River, was called Zishui in ancient times, with a total length of 109 km and a drainage area of 258 1 square km. It originated in the north of Majiapo, Bayuan Town, Lantian County, on the northern slope of Qinling Mountains. It flows through Baqiao District and weiyang district and flows into Weihe River in Gaoling County. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Qin Mugong continued to expand outward, and after ruling Xirong, it was renamed Bashui. Later, three points of water was added next to the word "Ba", which was called Ba water. The main tributaries are Wang Yuhe and Chan River. In the upper reaches of Bahe River, the river bed gradient is large, the water flow is fast in flood season, the river bed swings left and right, and the river course bends greatly. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, a relatively complete dike system was built. Bahe River Basin has developed agriculture and a long history of irrigation. There are many water diversion projects in the basin, such as Wang Ba Canal, Yuejin Canal, Lanqiao Canal, Puhui Canal, Bahui Canal, Tuanjie Canal and Lixin Canal.
