Ferrari history
He was born in the Italian town of Mondina on 1898. When he was ten years old, he followed his father to the local racetrack to watch the game. He heard and witnessed the thrills, fierceness and excitement of racing since he was a child, which made him love racing. At the age of 22, he joined a team called Alfa Romeo. At the age of thirty-one, he set up a Ferrari team by himself. Since 1950 Formula One World Championship, Ferrari has won 15 annual world championships and created 14 world championships for drivers, which is an impressive achievement that no one can match.

The sad seed of his brother's broken hand and foot was planted in his heart.

Why is it so hard for Enzo to smile? This is related to the death of two relatives in his life. Many Ferrari fans know that the symbol of "prancing horse" on Ferrari cars comes from the team emblem of the Italian National Air Force 9 1 Squadron. This team emblem has become the symbol of Ferrari. There is a tragic story: Enzo's fellow countryman, that is, Enzo's brother's comrade-in-arms, Francesco Baraka, went to France to receive aviation training after winning the rank of second lieutenant in the Italian Royal Cavalry. When he returned to Italy after training, World War I broke out, and the enemy at that time was Austria. In the fierce battle between the two sides, Baraka shot down five planes of the other side and became a hero in one fell swoop. Barakain's plane fuselage was painted with the symbol of "prancing horse" in the middle, which became the totem of Italy's victory in this air battle. Later, Baraka was promoted to the commander of 9 1 Squadron because of his outstanding military exploits, and "prancing horse" naturally became the team emblem of 9 1 Squadron.

In a combat mission, Baraka lost his comrade Enzo's brother Captain Ferrari. In order to avenge the death of his comrades-in-arms, Baraka bravely fought against enemy planes. But it is a pity that Baraka, who fought bravely, died heroically for his country after shooting down 34 enemy planes. A few years later, at an accidental party, Enzo met Baraka's mother, Countess Baraka, and hit it off at once. The countess suggested that Enzo's totem of "prancing horse" be given as a Ferrari emblem, embedded in the front of the car and driving in the wind on the track and street, in order to pay homage to and comfort two national heroes who died young and express eternal condolences.

At that time, Enzo sadly accepted this glorious gift from the countess. When he carefully studied the emblem of the "prancing horse", he found that the back foot of the black mane horse screamed upright with its mouth open, its front foot danced in the air, and its ponytail hung down, giving people a feeling of no leap. So Enzo hired some famous painters to redesign the logo of the motorcade, so he drew the prototype of the current "Ferrari-style prancing horse"-a high horse's head, a slightly open mouth, a leg behind it and a ponytail rising. This newly designed prancing horse pattern gives people a kind of prancing horse style that is eager to try, leap over Ma Qianli and sweep away an army.

In addition, Enzo added the Italian national emblem of green, white and red to the top of the newly designed prancing horse as the "sky", and then connected the Ferrari alphabet horizontally to form the "ground". Finally, the original white background of the old emblem was changed to yellow, the representative color of my hometown Mondina Town, to render the whole picture, and finally a new totem of "Let me gallop between heaven and earth" was formed.

The first Ferrari with the "prancing horse" logo was 125S, which was introduced in 1947. The new Ferrari car manufactured before 1960, with its emblem "prancing horse" hand-painted on the front of the hood by a professional painter, has now become a unique treasure of Ferrari. The only difference between the new emblem and the old emblem is that the inclination of the whole horse body is 58 degrees, which is also the distinguishing place for distinguishing the true and false features. "Insisting on quality and limited production" is one of Enzo's requirements for Ferrari's quality culture. Enzo insists that only 65,438+07 new Ferrari cars can be produced every day, so as not to disturb the balance between technology and art of Ferrari. His marketing strategy of "limiting production by quality" made the demand for new Ferrari cars in short supply, but it also caused the company's operational difficulties. At the beginning of 1960, Enzo was finally forced to sell the company.

The buyer's takeover company is Henry II, the third heir of the famous Ford Motor Company. Ford Motor Company has always been aiming at "building cars for the public", but it started with racing cars. Henry Ford, the founder of Ford Motor Company, personally drove the car numbered 999 in 1903. After winning the championship, he won the trust of the banking consortium and raised $15,000 to set up Ford Motor Company. By Henry II, Ford became a brand-new highlight in the car world at that time, that is, Ford once again shined in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Henry II and Enzo agreed to set up a new company for $5 million. When the two sides were negotiating the new company name, Enzo suggested that the new company names should be arranged in alphabetical order, because both Ford and Ferrari start with the letter F: F, Ford with the second letter O and Ferrari with the second letter E; In alphabetical order, so the name of the new company is "Ferrari/Ford Motor Company". "Are you kidding? I accepted the offer to buy your company, how can my name come last! " Henry II looked unhappy and insisted that Ford should come before the new company name. Enzo didn't say much, so he sent Henry II away with a gesture.

This cooperation ended in discord, and Enzo still produces 17 new cars every day; On the contrary, Henry II held his breath and decided to develop the GT40 supercar, becoming the only Jaguar on Le Mans circuit that surpassed the red mane.

White hair, black hair, sadness, seclusion, making sports cars

Enzo, who has always adhered to the principle of "quality first", allows every new Ferrari car to go into battle in a jacket without any modification and win the championship. Even though Ferrari experienced two serious financial crises in the 1940s and 1960s, it didn't shake his ambition at all! However, when his beloved son Alfredo Ferrari (whose real name is Dino) was injured and died in a match at 1969, the tough guy in the car world was heartbroken and burst into tears, and he almost gave up his whole career.

Fortunately, Fiat Group extended a helping hand at that time. On the premise that Fiat Group showed absolute respect for Ferrari's commitment to independently develop a brand-new red-maned spirited horse, Enzo finally proposed 1985 to Fiat to build a super sports car F40, which was unanimously adopted by Fiat's board of directors. Ferrari F40, 1987 was officially launched and immediately became one of the most powerful sports cars in the world (at that time, only Porsche 959 was qualified to compare with F40).

As a super sports car commemorating the 40th anniversary of Ferrari, it proves that Enzo's concept of building a car for nearly half a century-"going to the street is a sports car, and the destination is a racing car" has been realized. This is not only the achievement of his career, but also a great relief for him. However, the grief of losing his beloved son kept tormenting his mind. After Dino's death, Enzo stopped going near the track, especially in Ferrari races. He didn't attend any drivers' funerals, lived in seclusion all day, and never left Malano where Ferrari was located, which made him more mysterious by the outside world.

Seme unveiled the mystery, and the crane sailed into the west to be reborn.

The year after the F40 was successfully launched, that is,1August 4, 988, Enzo Ferrari, 90, died on a rainy Sunday. However, in the eyes of Italians, this racing genius has left his spiritual characteristics of "life", but has leapt to another spiritual milestone of "life".

Because Enzo was very low-key when he was alive, he kept his mouth shut about the information about the sports car he designed. It is said that he only opened the factory to screened automobile media reporters. In addition, there are rumors that Enzo didn't go to the racetrack to watch the game because he couldn't bear to see the "breathing and soul" car he made being "destroyed". Others said that he couldn't bear to see a racing driver die tragically under his car. In fact, these rumors can fully explain; On the one hand, Enzo's culture of Ferrari has risen to the height of a living soul; On the other hand, how sad Enzo was to lose his son in his later years, and his sad expression was revealed by wearing sunglasses.

1In June, 1990, a public exhibition named "Ferrari Ideas" was unveiled in Florence, showing mysterious files including technical drawings and aerodynamic models, which were never exposed in Ferrari's Malagrino factory. At the same time, 9 classic Ferrari models, including 1949 Barchetta, were also displayed, all made by hand. This unprecedented "Ferrari Secret Archives Exhibition" was exhibited in Paris and Munich, and finally ended in new york, causing quite a stir among Ferrari fans around the world.

It was none other than Pielo, vice president of Ferrari, who was Enzo's adopted son. Pierrot, he admitted, "If my father were still alive, maybe he didn't like the idea of this exhibition very much. However, the purpose of the exhibition is not to promote, but to present a person who has dedicated his life to his work. " Pierrot's tone is quite sincere.

Indeed, Enzo's life is very dull. Every Ferrari he designed increases in value with the age of the car, but Enzo's education level did not even graduate from high school. He has never been out of the city since he entered the Malagrino factory from his hometown of Mondina. His only passion for gambling is to constantly develop a new Ferrari with outstanding quality, which has attracted the attention of the whole world.

Enzo had a conversation with Nicky Lauda, who won the annual championship for Ferrari in 1975 and 1977.

Lauda: "Why not drive a Ferrari?"

Enzo: Do you know how expensive Ferrari is?

Lauda: "..."

After this conversation, Enzo sent a Ferrari GTO to Lauda, and he drove a Fiat 13 1 every day after work, constantly boasting that "this is a beautiful car."

At Ferrari's "pilgrimage site" Malagrino factory, there is a line written by Enzo with a professional violet ink pen under the desk glass mat in Enzo's office: "People must keep working, or they will have the idea of death."

Colin Chapman, ferdinand porsche and Enzo Ferrari are called the three wonders of the 20th century. If one day, you walk in heaven and meet Colin Chapman, you should take off your hat to pay tribute; When you see ferdinand porsche, you should bow to show your respect; When you happen to meet Enzo Ferrari, you can only get down on one knee and give him the highest gift to show your admiration. This is because "Enzo Ferrari, the greatest Italian racing driver and sports car manufacturer" (1989~ 1988), although his life is over, the crimson Ferrari Group, which carries his perseverance, will always ride in the hearts of thousands of fans in Qian Qian. Enzo Ferrari is the eternal iconic red "prancing horse" in the car world.
