The Historical Evolution of the School of History and Culture of Hunan Normal University
The School of History and Culture of Hunan Normal University has a long history, which began with the Department of History and Geography of National Normal University established in 1938. At the end of 1949, the National Teachers College was merged into Hunan University. 1953 faculty adjustment, the history department of Hunan Normal University was established (1984 was renamed Hunan Normal University). 1996, the history department and the Chinese department merged into the College of Literature. In June 2003, 1 1 left the College of Literature and formally established the College of History and Culture.

For more than 70 years, there has been a famous linguist Mr. Yang Shuda; Mr. Li Jiannong, an expert in Chinese political history; Mr. Lin Zengping, a famous historian and one of the pioneers of modern China; Mr. Pi Mingju, a world historian, Mr. Xie Defeng, a famous western historian and translator, Mr. Sun Bingying, an expert in the history of western historiography, and Mr. Tao Maobing, a famous expert in ancient history, have taught here, and have trained many outstanding historians such as Ouyang, Guo, Liang Jinghe, Chi, Zheng Dahua, and other celebrities from all walks of life.
