Accordingly, an official kiln was set up in Bianjing (now Kaifeng, Henan Province) at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, which is now called Bianjing Official Kiln or Northern Song Dynasty Official Kiln. The specific kiln site has not been found yet.

" The research in this paper shows that there are two kinds of official kilns built in the early Southern Song Dynasty: one is "Xiunei Temple Official Kiln", also known as "Inner Kiln". Even "Eight Records of Respect for Life" says that the official kiln of Xiunei Temple is located at the foot of Phoenix Mountain in Hangzhou, but the exact kiln site has not yet been found. The second is "Jiaotan Official Kiln", which is located in Wuguishan area in the southern suburbs of Hangzhou, also known as "Wuguishan Official Kiln". The kiln site was discovered in 1930, 1956, 1985 winter solstice and 1986 spring. Two archaeological excavations were carried out, and the remains of the dragon kiln and workshop were excavated, and a large number of specimens were obtained.

In the history of China ceramics, "official kiln" and "official porcelain" are two completely different concepts.
