During the Northern Song Dynasty, Shengzhou port prospered and maritime trade continued to prosper. Ailin Shipping Bureau and Ailin Pavilion in Jiaoxi are the only foreign trade ports north of the Yangtze River, one of the five major commercial ports in China, and an important node of the Maritime Silk Road.
