Haitan Island, also known as Pingtan Island, is located in Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, with a length of 29 kilometers from north to south and a width of 19 kilometers from east to west. Haitan Tianshen, a giant stone man four times larger than Leshan Giant Buddha, is the largest known spherical weathering model of natural granite in the world. Nanzhai Stone Forest Group is known as the "World of Stone Beasts", with five peaks and one valley concentrated in the sea erosion landscape: crocodile peak, fairy peak, sheep peak, vulture peak, frog peak and turtle valley.
