Guiping, also known as Zhou Xun, is located in the southeast of Guangxi. Guiping County was founded in the first year of Liang Dynasty (502). From Nanliang to the end of Qing Dynasty, Guiping County was always the seat of Zhou Xun county, prefecture, road and government. 1May, 1994, the county was withdrawn to set up a city. 1996 10 In June, Guiping City was placed under the custody of Guigang City.

Guiping is an important agricultural town, with cultivated land area of 1.0 1.7 million mu, including paddy field area of 770,000 mu. It is the most populous county in Guangxi, the largest grain production base, inland river ship production base, leisure clothing production base, yellow sand shark breeding base and yuba export base.

Guiping has rich and unique ecological natural landscape, landform landscape and historical and cultural landscape, such as Xishan, Datengxia, Baishidong, Longtan National Forest Park, jintian uprising Site of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and Luocongdong.

Guiping is one of the top 100 counties in western China, the national advanced grain production county, the national model city of double support, the top ten counties of scientific development in Guangxi, the advanced county of attracting investment and the demonstration county in Guangxi. It is one of the first AAAA tourist cities in China, and the first tourist city in southern China dominated by "Buddhist culture".
