There are more than 7,000 historical relics and specimens in the collection, including more than 2,000 precious cultural relics, and more than 600 paintings and calligraphy works by famous artists such as Wu Changshuo, Xu Beihong, Huang, Qi Baishi, Wu Zuoren and Li Keran in modern China. In addition, hundreds of fossils, ceramics, paintings and handicrafts donated by Kang Rongmao, a patriotic overseas Chinese, and 87 works by Shen Roujian, a master of calligraphy and painting, were exhibited.
