Yunlong was founded in the late Ming Dynasty, originally named Shayachang, and was named Longshapu in the 21st year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1682). In the Republic of China, it was renamed Yunlong with an arch bridge carving painting "Dragon Walking Cloud".

Shao Long Town was founded in the early years of the Republic of China.

In the 30th year of the Republic of China (194 1), it was changed to Yunlong Township. 1958 changed to Yunlong commune. []? 1983 Resettlement of Yunlong Township. Yunlong Town was built in 1992.
