The film Wandingqiao is a war film about the first time that the Chinese Expeditionary Force sent troops to Myanmar to fight against Japanese invaders. What can be seen in the play is that it does not directly face the war, but tells people a beautiful love story between an expeditionary soldier and a local Dai girl. In order to achieve the best shooting effect, the shooting scene should be restored to that special historical period 42 years ago. Many costumes and props have to be transported from Beijing to Wan Ding, 3000 kilometers away, which is very expensive. In the director's words, this film should be different from previous war films in shooting techniques, achieve new breakthroughs, and most importantly, carefully ponder and reproduce people's true feelings at that time.

Her first work, Sleeping Youth, won the Best Screenplay Award at Singapore Asian Newcomer Film Festival, and was selected as the cutting-edge director of Taiwan Province Province at Dowell Asian Film Festival and China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival. The TV movie Long Holiday won the Golden Bell Award for Best Drama. This film "Wandingqiao" directed by Zheng Fenfen is the first time to come to the mainland to direct the film at the invitation of the producer's chief producer.
