Xu Zonghai (1861—1941) was born in Hanqiao Village (now Baimahu Town) in the west of Xiajin County, Shandong Province. He studied at an early age and was a scholar at the age of 65,438+08. In the 26th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (65,438+0900), he was trained as a trainee. He devoted his life to education. For three years (19 1 1), Xuantong served as the director of persuasion in Changqing County, and founded persuasion schools, government primary schools, model primary schools, girls' primary schools, the first single-level training branch schools, urban public primary schools, simplified Chinese character schools and half-day schools. Since then, he has taught in Ertun, Hanqiao, Zhuang Yan in Wucheng County and Mafosi in Qingping County (now Linqing City), with students all over the country. 1942, on the anniversary of Xu Zonghai's death, his students 100 raised funds to erect a monument for him and record his academic achievements. The inscription on the tablet reads "One party is the leader".

1933, Xu Zonghai applied for compiling Xiajin County Records and served as editor-in-chief. There was a lack of funds and materials at that time. He is not afraid of difficulties, unites his colleagues, overcomes difficulties and devotes himself to writing. Xu Zonghai suffers from urinary incontinence. In order not to affect his work, he put a towel under his underwear and insisted on writing. In order to reduce trouble, control drinking water, and endure thirst, finally, "three drafts are easy to read, and books are finished."

Xu Zonghai is good at calligraphy. He has made great achievements in cursive script and regular script, and his ink is widely spread all over the world.
