The History of Xiaobai Tea in Jianyang Zhang Dun
Jianyang Zhang Dun Xiaobai Tea is a kind of white tea, and its origin is Zhang Dun Town, Jianyang City, Fujian Province. The history of this kind of tea can be traced back to Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty (1522- 1566). At that time, tea farmers in Zhang Dun Town made white tea through natural fermentation and drying, which was mainly supplied to the royal family and nobles in Fujian Province.

With the passage of time, Zhang Dun white tea has gradually become a famous tea variety in Fujian and its surrounding areas. During the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty (1736- 1795), Zhang Dun white tea was included in the royal tribute list. From 1950s to 1960s, after further research and improvement, the quality of Zhang Dun white tea was gradually improved, and it was designated as a national first-class tea.

Today, Jianyang Zhang Dun Xiaobai Tea is still one of the representative teas in Fujian Province and enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad.
