Polyacrylonitrile-based carbon felt is the largest carbon felt in China. Specifically divided into polyacrylonitrile-based acrylic fiber carbon felt, polyacrylonitrile-based precursor carbon felt, polyacrylonitrile-based preoxidized fiber carbon felt and polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber carbon felt. The corresponding raw materials are polyacrylonitrile-based acrylic staple fiber, polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber precursor staple fiber, polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber preoxidized staple fiber and polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber chopped fiber.
The main producing area of carbon felt in China is Jilin Province, and there are also some production enterprises in Liaoning Province, Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, Shandong Province, Hunan Province and Anhui Province.
Polyacrylonitrile-based acrylic carbon felt is mainly produced in Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province. The main manufacturers are Dongsheng graphite, Hengli carbon fiber, Jisheng carbon material and Jiutong carbon material. The approximate price of 20 18 is about 120 yuan/kg. The advantages of this product are low price, abundant supply, many manufacturers and transparent profits. Disadvantages are high ash content, average elasticity, average tensile force, average oxidation resistance and average heat insulation performance. The most obvious feature is to touch off the ash with your hands and prick your hands.
Enterprises in Jilin Province, Liaoning Province, Shaanxi Province and Gansu Province produce polyacrylonitrile-based pre-oxidized carbon felt. Because the raw material is carbon fiber pre-oxidized wire directly, it is not necessary to carry out the most difficult pre-oxidation link, just needling the pre-oxidized wire directly into felt, and then carbonizing it. The main manufacturers of pre-oxidized silk are Jilin Carbon Valley, Jilin Gong Jing, Shanghai Petrochemical, Danyang Shen Heng, etc. In the past, some manufacturers imported waste pre-oxidized silk, but in recent years, with the national restrictions on the import of solid waste, few pre-oxidized silk were imported on the market. The approximate price of 20 18 is around 300 yuan/kg. The carbon felt has low ash content, good elasticity, good tensile force, good oxidation resistance and good heat insulation performance. Disadvantages are high price, low cost performance of low-end applications, small market share, fewer production enterprises than acrylic carbon felt, and scattered production enterprises lead to large differences in production costs such as freight and labor, resulting in large price differences.
Because the raw material of PAN-based carbon fiber felt is direct short carbon fiber, there is no need for pre-oxidation and carbonization in production, just needling into felt. However, because of the high elasticity and hardness of carbon fiber chopped filament, it is not easy to curl, and it is especially easy to break the needle when needling. At present, I only heard that domestic enterprises have made this kind of carbon felt. It has not been widely used in the market. The manufacturer is unknown and the price is unknown. The obvious advantages are less ash and better elasticity. The identified shortcomings are insufficient fiber curl and insufficient cohesion. Although the tension of monofilament is good, the tension of the whole carbon felt is average. There are few manufacturers and the price is opaque.
Polyacrylonitrile precursor carbon felt is mainly produced in Jilin City, Jilin Province. It is made by needling the precursor of carbon fiber into felt, and then pre-oxidizing and carbonizing it. This is a new product on the market in recent years. At present, the main manufacturers are Xinyu Technology, Ronghe Carbon Fiber and Red Earl Carbon Fiber. The approximate price of 20 18 is around 140 yuan. Its performance is close to that of pre-oxidized carbon felt, and its price is slightly higher than that of acrylic carbon felt. The advantages are high cost performance, low price, less ash, good elasticity, good tensile force, good oxidation resistance and good heat insulation. The disadvantages are complex production process, low output of a single production line, long time and high energy consumption.
