Daliang, an ancient place name in Henan, China, is located in the northwest of Kaifeng City, Henan Province. It used to be the capital of Wei, one of the seven heroes of the Warring States in the Middle Ages. In the summer of 364 BC, Wei Huiwang, the monarch of Wei, moved his capital from Anyi (now Xiaxian County, Shaanxi Province) to Daliang, so Wei Huiwang was also called Wang Hui, the king of Liang. The six emperors from Wei Xiangwang to Wei Wangjia used Daliang as the capital of Wei for 65,438+036 years, and it was sometimes recorded as the capital of Wei.
In the third year of Wei Dynasty, the King of Qin sent Wang Ben to lead an army to surround Daliangcheng, which led to the diversion of water to irrigate Daliangcheng. It lasted for three months. The city of Daliang was broken, so Wei had to open the city. With the death of Wei, Daliangcheng ceased to exist. Kaifeng County was in Qin Dynasty, and Chenliu County was in Han Dynasty. Girder is sometimes used as a synonym for Kaifeng area. For example, in the Five Dynasties, Kaifeng, the capital at that time, was called a girder, and some people in the Northern Song Dynasty also followed this habit.
The whole story of Liang
Daliangcheng was the capital of Wei during the Warring States Period. During the period of Wei Huiwang, the third monarch of Wei Dynasty, Wei's territory included parts of Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei and Henan, occupying the Yellow River valley with the most developed culture and agriculture at that time. During the Warring States Period, it was a first-class power in China. In order to compete for the Central Plains and realize its ambition, Anyi, located in Xia County, Shaanxi Province, was not conducive to Wei's expansion in the Yellow River basin, so the motive of planning to move the capital was born.
Under the rule of several monarchs in the later period of Wei State, great powers such as Qi, Chu and Qin came from behind to compete for hegemony. Wei State was forced to unite with small countries against big countries from time to time, and sometimes rely on sticks to form alliances with big countries, which can be described as a "dark position". As the capital of Wei State, the security of girders is increasingly difficult to guarantee. This problem was exposed completely. By the end of the Warring States period, the combat effectiveness and quantity of Wei's army had dropped sharply, and its territory was shrinking.
