In 2005, Shuanghe Town was revoked, and the original administrative area of Shuanghe Town was placed under the jurisdiction of Hongshan Town. The town government is located in Hongshan, and has jurisdiction over five neighborhood committees and 28 village committees including Hongshan Road, Maosifan, Sishan, Huaihe Road, Shuanghe Street, Peijiayan, Baoji, Wangjiatai, Dianzihe, Huangjiafan, Zhuji and Liangtinghe. In 2009, Zengdu District was placed under the jurisdiction of the newly established Sui County.
The former Shuanghe Town is located in the west of Suizhou City, 74 kilometers away from the urban area. The town government is stationed in Shuanghe. Zhoujia Dawan, a memorial site, was the former site of Jianghan District Committee, Administrative Office and Military Region during the Liberation War. It was revoked in 2005 and merged into hongshan town.
