Where is the old town of Shantou?
The road from Shantou Xidi Wharf to WaiMa Lukou 1km was mostly built in the early 20th century, which is characterized by shrinking one meter near the road as a "arcade" to avoid rain. There are decorative patterns near the doors and windows. Most of the "four Yong and one Sheng Ping" roads radiated by small parks are shopping shops with good quality and low price. There are also famous snacks, such as Xitianxiang Oyster Roast and Malao Palace Zongqiu.

The old street area of Shantou is a landmark building complex in Shantou, and it is also a must-see place for returned overseas Chinese to find their roots.

Most of the buildings are western-style arcades, and a large number of buildings were built at the beginning of the 20th century, and their styles are mostly antique Rome, imitation Gothic and Baroque.

The "arcade" sheltered from the rain, the rows of old shops and the slightly messy streets all reveal the unique historical customs of Shantou Old Town.

This used to be the most prosperous business center in Shantou. Strolling among them, Shantou Post Office Building, Mama Palace and other historical buildings still retain their original features.
