On August 2nd, the qualification of Longyan to host the Provincial Games was officially confirmed after deliberation and approval by the provincial government office meeting. The construction of venues for holding provincial games is mainly composed of four parts: first, the newly planned sports park. The sports park will be built in the southwest planning new area of People's Square, covering a total area of 300 mu. It is planned to be a relatively modern and open sports theme park integrating fitness, leisure, entertainment and commerce, with an estimated total investment of 260 million yuan. The main facilities include a multi-functional gymnasium and its ancillary buildings, a national fitness center and a provincial training base. The second is a sports building for commercial activities. The project is located in the sports center of Jiuyi South Road, echoing the stadium from a distance. Covering an area of 5 148 square meters, the main building has 23 floors, with a construction area of 27,238 square meters. It is the command and reception center of the 13th Provincial Games, with an estimated total investment of 654.38+300 million yuan. The third is the urban water sports center in Shanghang. The center is located in Tingjianghe Valley, Chengguan, Shanghang, and was built by Shanghang County Government as a venue for holding canoeing competitions in the provincial games. At present, the water part of the project has been completed and put into use in last year's canoeing competition in the province. Fourth, the construction of related venues undertaken by counties (cities) is also in full swing, among which the construction of new gymnasium in Changting County, Wushu Gymnasium in Liancheng County, Badminton Gymnasium in Shanghang County, Gymnasium in Wuping County and Table Tennis Gymnasium in Zhangping County is progressing smoothly.
(3) Strengthen the training of referees and staff, establish a high-quality sports team, actively prepare for war and reserve talents.
In recent years, Longyan City has undertaken training courses for C-class football coaches and fencing referees in the province, and held training courses for lifeguards in track and field, fencing and swimming, with nearly 200 participants, of whom nearly 50 were approved as second-class referees through training. At the same time, Longyan also hosted 13 major events such as the national Wushu Sanda competition and the province-wide canoeing competition. In July this year, Longyan City will also host the National Badminton Championships and the trials of the provincial track and field and swimming games.
