Xinping Township was upgraded to Xinping County in the early Tang Dynasty, and Xinping County was changed to Fuliang County in the first year of Tianbao of Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty (742).
In 62 1 year (the fourth year of Tang Wude), Xinping Township broke away from the eastern boundary of Poyang and settled in Xinping County.
In 7 16 AD (the fourth year of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty), Xinchang County was built in the original Xinping County, and the county seat was located in Nanchengli, where the Yangtze River and its tributary Donghe meet.
In 740 AD (the 28th year of Kaiyuan), according to analysis, Wuyuan County was established in the southeast of Eugene Township and the southwest of Xiuning County.
In 742 AD (the first year of Tianbao), it was renamed as Fuliang and named Shangxian. As for the origin of the county name, Geography of the Book of the Tang Dynasty says that "Ben Xin Ye Ping" and "Xiejun County Name" say: "Rivers are overflowing, and people cut trees for beams". The county belongs to Poyang County.
In 766 AD (the second year of Yongtai), the northern boundary of Fuliang entered, and Yixian County was located in its southern Qimen County.
In 8 16 AD (the 11th year of Yuanhe in Tang Xianzong), the county magistrate moved to the highland west of the Yangtze River, which is today's old town village of Fuliang Town, and remained unchanged for 1 100.
