Historical Evolution and Origin of Shibantan Town's Name
According to historical records, Shibantan Town was founded in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty, with a history of more than 260 years. It used to be a trading place for firewood and grass, but later there were more than 20 shops near its stone bridge. Thirty years after Qianlong, Nanhua Palace was built on Zhengxing Street, and then Guandi Temple and Wenchang Palace were built. Historically, Shibantan Town has also built Jade Emperor Pavilion, Kannonji, Land Temple, Wangchuan Temple, Wang Yao Temple, Shuiguanyin Temple, Guangdong Guild Hall and Huguang Guild Hall. During the Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty, Shibantan Town was known as "the first of the five major towns in Dongshan". Five major towns, namely Shibantan, Zhenzichang (now Luodai Town), Xihechang (now xihe town), Longxingchang (now Longtan Temple) and Liaojiachang (now Qingquan Town). Shibantan Town is located in the east of Chengdu, with a special geographical position. Before the Republic of China, it was an important post station of the ancient road in northern Ogawa and the center of the Hakka settlement in Dongshan, Chengdu. Among the residents in the town, most of their ancestors migrated from Guangdong and Hunan during the period from Kangxi to Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. Therefore, Hakka dialect in Guangdong is still the main language of social communication among local residents. They sat together, full of "sitting in the morning, taking a nap, washing soup and dispelling cold". I'm afraid you can't understand what they are saying "morning, afternoon, take a bath and enjoy the cool". They said, "Oh, throat, remember!" "What do you mean?" "The materials in the house!" "What's it like!" You can know that they are "Oh, I forgot!" "What did you say?" "Play at home!" "How so!" Wait, I guess you can only guess by feeling. They are vegetarian on the first day of the first month, and there must be celery and leeks on the table. This kind of celery is called "rich dish", which means wealth. "Qin, leek" and "diligence and long-term" are homophonic-diligence, thrift and everlasting. Who are the pupils? At the age of ten or twenty, when my mother cooked noodles, he would put a chicken arm in the bowl ("chicken leg" is called "chicken arm" in Hakka) and then climb upstairs, which means "rising step by step". Further back, in the seventeenth year of Zhenguan of Emperor Taizong, Shibantan belonged to Xindu County, and Yifeng of Tang Gaozong belonged to Huayang County in the second year. In the early years of Qing Daoguang, Shibantan was called Renheli, meaning "Benevolence and Harmony", and was later renamed Renhebao, Renhexiang and Renhechang. According to legend, just under the stone bridge across the Xijiang River, there used to be a spacious and open river beach where villagers traded grain and grass. Because the beach is hard and flat, it is called "Shiguzi Beach". One day, a farmer was satisfied, sold out his grain and grass early, and walked on his way home with a pole. He met a fellow villager and asked, "Where did you come from so early?" The farmer casually replied, "Me! From Shibantan. " This wonderful answer can be deeply rooted in people's hearts: pleasant to hear, easy to remember and catchy. Slate Beach! Slate Beach! -the name, from now on, don't go, established. Today, the "slate beach" has never changed. However, some people say that this stone beach is named "Stone Beach" because all the streets in the town are paved with stone slabs.
