The external performance characteristics of drama mainly lie in the integrity of the fate of characters and the outcome of events. It not only refers to a perfect ending and a happy ending, but also refers to the positive or negative aspects of life. The protagonist also pursues the inevitable requirements of history like a tragic figure. The difference is that this requirement cannot be realized in tragedy, but it is possible in drama.
In comedy, the requirements that do not conform to the historical trend are pursued as realistic purposes, while in drama, the requirements that do not conform to the historical trend are denied.
Historical drama:
Works after modern times, such as Xing Xing Cao, Li Zicheng, Young Emperor and other historical novels, should be regarded as historical dramas if they are adapted from these historical documents and basically conform to the description of the original author. The dramas such as Zhuge Liang and Famous Scenes of Datang are all wonderful historical dramas of ancient costumes, full of historical sense and thought-provoking.
Historical novels can take history as the theme, but the plot must be true and the fictional elements must be possible under the conditions at that time. Nowadays, some TV dramas claim to be historical dramas, but they are actually set in a certain dynasty. A large number of fictional characters and stories are not historical dramas in the strict sense. I'm afraid some of them are not even plays.
