In the Sino-Japanese War, the Qing court was defeated and Taiwan Province Province was ceded. From June 65438 to June 0895, the Japanese army invaded Taiwan Province Province. Liao Tianding (Ashton Chen), who was 10 years old at that time, worked as a long-term laborer in a foreign family (Wu Letian), dismissed his family and hired him, and returned to Tangshan to recruit soldiers to fight against Japan. However, when Xiao Tianding returned home, his mother had been killed by Japanese soldiers. Xiaotian Ding found the Japanese soldier who killed his mother and wanted to kill him for revenge. After that, I forgot to run away and was targeted by Japanese soldiers. He had to jump into the river and was seriously injured. Xiaotian Ding was saved by a troupe and has lived in it ever since. The head of the troupe (Ke Shouliang) sneaked into Chen Cang under the anti-Japanese Lin Shaomao, and often added some anti-Japanese content in the play, such as "Nezha beheaded the emperor", and let Xiao Tianding, who hates Japan, play Nezha and take care of Xiao Tianding. But it didn't last long. Someone secretly reported that there was something wrong with the troupe People in the troupe had to flee for their lives, and Xiaotian Ding was once again on the street. On one occasion, Xiaotian Ding was so hungry that he stole incense and oil money from the temple and was arrested and beaten by everyone. Fortunately, the former monitor passed by and saved Xiaotian Ding. From then on, Xiao Tianding worshipped the monitor as a teacher and followed the master to make a living.

In A.D. 1903, the Japanese army occupied Taiwan Province for nine years, gradually changing the oppressive rule of military management in the past. At the age of 20, Tian Ding (Jimmy Lin) came to the northern suburbs with her master. Lin Shaomao, who was fighting against Japan, died, and her master soon died at the hands of Japanese soldiers. Tianding avenged his master with kung fu.

Soon, Tian Ding helped the gangster Red Turtle (Luo Shifeng) in the casino to clear the way, and they became best friends. Red turtle took Tianding to repair the railway and met Grandpa (Zhan Xiao) at work. One day, grandpa was taking a bath when a Japanese officer broke in with ulterior motives. Liao Tianding was in a hurry to rescue and accidentally killed the Japanese army. Liao Tianding and Red Turtle fled again, and they made a living in a casino together, but they met by chance. Liao Tianding took Liu Wenying's advice. Since then, he has stopped gambling for a living. He began to partner with the Red Turtle to attack the rich and help the poor. .....

Behind the scenes:

Liao Tianding-Robin Hood of Taiwan Province Province

Friends in Chinese mainland and Hongkong may not know who Liao Tianding is, but in Taiwan Province Province, Liao Tianding is a household name. He is not a fictional character like Zhan Zhao, but a real person. Not far from us, it is about our great-grandfather, Xuanzu's generation. His story, as the movie said, was wonderful. He is actually an ordinary man, flesh and blood. "Tianding" is just a common name, which means that he gave birth to a son. He is not a knight who cares about his own affairs occasionally, but is forced to resist and rob Japanese and four-legged teenagers. He represented a spiritual sustenance of the people of Taiwan Province Province during the Japanese occupation, just like Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest.
