The development of history
In the 4th century A.D., the fleet of the ancient Greek king of Macedonia returned home from the Indian Ocean via the Persian Gulf after the eastward expedition, and built some small castles on the west bank of Kuwait City, which was the original Kuwait.
/kloc-In the middle of the 0/8th century, Kuwait City developed from a desolate village into a seaport with various ships. 1938 Kuwait discovered oil, and 1946 began to exploit it. The booming oil economy has transformed the country, and the capital, Kuwait City, has also developed rapidly. In 1950s, Kuwait City initially became a modern city.
1961June19, Kuwait declared its independence, established the State of Kuwait, and officially designated Kuwait City as its capital. However, Saddam Hussein's government in Iraq refused to recognize Kuwait's independence and insisted that Kuwait was a part of Iraqi territory.
Because of this, the Gulf War broke out in 199 1. In the end, the allied forces led by the United States defeated Iraq and gained legal garrison bases in Kuwait and six neighboring Arab countries.
