Gangu County, known as Jixian in ancient times, is one of the earliest places in China to establish a county system, and is known as "the first county in China".
According to Records of the Historian Qin Benji, "In the tenth year of Qin Wugong (688 BC), Luan was first cut down to build a county." Qin Wugong captured Lu 'an and established Yunxian County and Jixian County. The establishment of Qin county system was the beginning of the establishment of centralized system in China, and there was a warlord regime in China.
Today's Gangu is still Jixian County in the Western Han Dynasty.
In the seventeenth year of Emperor Yongping of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 74), Tianshui County was moved to Jixian County and changed to Hanyang County.
During the reign of Emperor Ling of the Eastern Han Dynasty (168- 188), Liangzhou was also the ruler, and Liangzhou was the governor of Jixian County.
During the Cao and Wei Dynasties (AD 220-265), the Three Kingdoms were Jixian County, and Hanyang County was changed to Tianshui County, which belonged to Tianshui County.
In the fifth year (AD 269), Emperor Wu of Jin ruled Qin Zhou, and in the seventh year of Taikang (AD 286), Qin Zhou moved to Shan Gui.
Eight years after the Northern Dynasties, Wei Wudi Taiping Town County (AD 447) was changed to Court County, which belonged to Tianshui County.
During the Northern Dynasties and the Northern Zhou Dynasty (A.D. 557-58 1), it was changed to Ji Cheng County and later merged into Cucumber County.
During the reign of Yang Di the Great (605-620 AD), it was renamed Ji Cheng County.
In the third year of Wude in Tang Gaozu (AD 620), it was changed to Fuqiang County, merged into Longxi in Weizhou and set up in Fuzhou.
From the first year of Guangde in Tang Daizong to the third year of Jianlong in Song Taizu (763-962 AD), it was occupied by Tubo.
Song Taizu built the city for three years and settled in Qiangzhai, which belongs to Qin Zhou. In the third year of Xining in Song Shenzong (AD 1070), it was promoted to Fuqiang City. Song Huizong worshiped Ning for three years (A.D. 1 104), and yongningzhen was located in Duke of Zhou.
In the 13th year of Yuan Shizu Zhiyuan (AD 1276), Fuqiang City was promoted to Fuqiang County.
Fuqiang County was used by Ming and Qing Dynasties, belonging to the regular government.
In the 18th year of the Republic of China (AD 1929), it was changed to Gangu County.
Gangu has a continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons and abundant sunshine. Beautiful mountains and rivers, a long history, simple folk customs and a rich collection of people. Chuan Dao District of Weihe River is a small alluvial plain with rich products, which is known as the "golden belt" of Weihe River. Gangu is known as the "hometown of peppers", and the fragrance of peppers on Gangu line is well-known at home and abroad. Codonopsis pilosula is popular at home and abroad, and Gangu Rose won the gold medal of Kunming World Expo 1999. There are many cultural relics in the county, and more than 60 cultural relics protection sites have been found. Among them, Neolithic relic 1 1 has more than 20 ancient tombs since the Han Dynasty. National key cultural relics protection units 1, 7 provincial cultural relics protection units. Chengxi Grottoes stretch for more than ten kilometers, especially Daxiangshan Grottoes, a national key cultural relics protection unit. Siddhattha gotama, carved in the Northern Wei Dynasty and decorated in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, is the only giant Buddha in the Weihe River Basin, which is rare in China. Rich human resources and natural landscape constitute a unique regional culture, forming a golden tourist route on Longshang with Daxiangshan as the main body and echoing Gai Hua Temple, Tianmen Mountain, Jianshan Temple, Jiangwei Tomb and Cai Jia Temple.
County industries are mainly construction, building materials, textile and chemical industry and agricultural and sideline products processing.
Gangu has developed commerce and trade since ancient times, and it is an important business town on the ancient Silk Road. Song is known as "the capital of tea and horses" and enjoys the reputation of "the hometown of business travel". The masses have a tradition of doing business.
