Xiantao Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary college approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. Xiantao Vocational College was formerly known as Hubei No.1 Normal School, and was formerly known as Hubei Lianzhong E 'nan Branch, which was founded in September. 1939. 194 1 August, No.1 Middle School was transformed into the first normal school in Hubei Province, located in Shiping, Tongcheng. After several relocations, it moved to Mianyang Xindi in August, 1949, and was renamed mianyang normal School in Hubei Province. 195 1 August, Mianyang and Honghu were divided and renamed as.
1954 Honghu Lake was flooded and the school was temporarily moved to Jiangling. Due to the low-lying site of Xindi School and the serious loss of school buildings, the Provincial Department of Education decided to move the school to Xiantao Town, Mianyang, and allocated funds to build school buildings. The school building was completed on 1955, with a building area of 4,775 square meters.
