The historical story of this bridge
After the fall of Zhangjiawan and Tongzhou in the Second Opium War, the British and French allied forces continued to invade the west. In the tenth year of Xianfeng (1860), they attacked Baliqiao area from Langjiafen on September 21st. It was badly hurt by the 30 thousand Qing army stationed in the local area. Later, due to the escape of Rui Lin and others, Shengbao was injured, the Qing army scattered westward, and Baliqiao fell. The next day, Emperor Yining of Xianfeng led Hou Ji Palace to flee from Yuanmingyuan to chengde mountain resort as soon as possible.

We should always remember this story, which changed China and awakened China.

It was in this early morning that the clouds in the sky suddenly burst into laughter and the sun came out with a red face. The rabbit slipped out of bed. After breakfast, Little Rabbit walked to the school across the river with a happy mood.

But as soon as I stepped on the bridge, I heard a "click". The rabbit quickly drew back its feet. Little rabbit stood on the shore, worried. It thought: it's over, the single-plank bridge is broken, and it will definitely be late for school today. What shall we do? Our teacher is very strict! The more he thought about it, the more afraid he became, so he sat on the grass and began to cry. Just then, the little monkey came here. Seeing the rabbit crying so sadly, it asked, "Rabbit, why are you crying?" The rabbit said with tears, "The single-plank bridge is broken, so I can't go to school." The little monkey scratched his head and thought of a way. He said to the little rabbit, "Yes, I'll find a piece of wood and fix the bridge." Just finished, the little monkey ran forward quickly. After a while, the little monkey came back and saw him sweating with a piece of wood. Through the efforts of the little monkey, Xiao Qiao's illness was finally cured by the little monkey. The rabbit jumped on the new wooden bridge. It said gratefully, "Thank you, little monkey, you are really a kind person."
