It has been more than 40 years since China really introduced and successfully planted pressed olive oil. Song Ping, then secretary of Gansu Provincial Party Committee, personally advocated the introduction and cultivation of olive in Longnan.
More than 60,000 seedlings of more than 30 olive varieties were introduced from Wuhan, Nanjing, Hanzhong and other places, and planted in more than 20 towns and villages with an altitude of 700 ~ 1300 meters in Bailong River, Baishuijiang River and Xihanshui River Basin.
