In recent years, the school has achieved extraordinary leap-forward development. 1998 was rated as the key middle school of the city, 1999 was promoted to the key middle school of Jiangsu Province, and 200 1 was among the national model ordinary high schools. In 2004, it passed the evaluation and acceptance of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and was renamed as a four-star high school in Jiangsu Province.
