Zhang Yunhe's father is Zhang Wuling, a modern educator, and his mother is Lu Ying, a Kunqu researcher.
Zhang Yunhe graduated from the History Department of Shanghai Guanghua University (now East China Normal University). He used to be a high school history teacher and editor-in-chief of history textbook of People's Education Publishing House. He left after the "Tiger Fighting" campaign of 1952. From 1956 to 1964, she served as the head of the liaison group of Beijing Kunqu Opera Research Association, and her work was voluntary, so Yunhe called herself a "housewife". In his later years, he devoted himself to writing, including The Last Boudoir and Diary of Kunqu Opera, and continued to run the family publication Water Magazine.
Yunhe 1933 got married and gave birth to a son Zhou Xiaoping and a daughter Zhou Xiaohe (died young).
The life of the character
Zhang Yun, a talented woman with white hair, and Zhou Youguang, a linguist, are a couple that makes everyone jealous. They regard each other as guests. Take Qi Mei as an example. They touch cups twice a day, drink black tea in the morning and coffee in the afternoon. This habit has been maintained for decades and cannot be shaken.
Zhang Wuling, a wealthy businessman in Suzhou, is not only fertile in land, but also keen to make friends with educational celebrities such as Cai Yuanpei and invest in education. He is also famous for his four talented and beautiful daughters. Later, Zhang Yunhe, the second daughter of this big family, married Zhou Youguang, an accomplished linguist, and Zhang Zhaohe, the third daughter, married Shen Congwen, a famous great writer.
The four sisters of the Zhang family are all blue confidants. Zhang Yuanhe's husband is Gu Chuanjun, a famous Kunqu master, and Zhang Chonghe, the fourth son, is married to Hans Hermannt Frankel, a German-American sinologist.
Ye Shengtao once said that the four talented women of the Zhang family will be happy all their lives.
On August 4th, 2002, Zhang Yunhe passed away peacefully at the age of 93.
