Founded in the 20th year of Guangxu (1894) and completed in the 22nd year of Guangxu (1896), it covers an area of13000m2. Fort Hu Lishan is surrounded by mountains and faces the sea. From south to north, it is divided into war zone, barracks zone and back mountain zone. It has two main guns and two protective guns.
