Tea mountain

The highest, largest and most typical crater.

Chashan, located in Liyang Town, Ninghai County, is the highest mountain in the north of Ninghai, with the main peak as high as 872 meters above sea level. Standing at the top of Chashan Mountain, I have a bird's eye view of the islands and fishing sails of Sanmen Bay and Xiangshan Port, dotted with stars and the Milky Way shining. Chashan, formerly known as Gaicangshan, is still in use today because there are many teas on the mountain. Thousands of years ago in the Northern Song Dynasty, it was already "extremely prosperous". There is a little moss on the mountain, and the morning dew is long. In the season when azaleas are in full bloom, there are clusters of wild azaleas all over the mountains, blooming for ten miles.

Chashan is probably the most typical volcanic landscape in Ninghai-it is difficult to create such a high mountain in general orogeny, and only volcanic eruption can reach this height. From the academic level, it seems more reasonable to call Chashan "the top of the East China Sea volcano". Chashan is a vast mountain, extending from Ninghai to Xiangshan. To be exact, it is not a volcano, but a collection of volcanoes. Or it can be said that Chashan is a landscape formed after many volcanic activities in history.

Walking in the dense forest of Chashan Mountain, insects and birds can be heard everywhere, the streams are crystal clear, and the air is green like rice paper full of ink and wash. Looking at the rock wall again, the steep cliff has a strange dark red color, and the volcanic landform is still mysterious and magical. Judging from the large exposed rocks on the main peak, the volcanic rocks here are estimated to be no more than 65,438+million years-the history of 65,438+million years is by no means ancient volcanic landforms.

It is this young "Chashan Broken Volcano" that became a national geological heritage area in 2009, and this honor has consolidated its position as the "leading brother" in the local volcanic group.

The reason why it attracts the attention of geological circles is probably because it is tall and typical: it not only has a huge volcanic cone-the main peak of Chashan (the mountain near the main peak is steep and the exposed area of magmatic rocks is large); There is also a sunken crater-Yunfeng 'an reservoir area (surrounded by peaks and basin-shaped depression in the middle); Pyroclastic rock with obvious bedding-highway cliff under Zhumofeng; There is also the advection formed by volcanic lava flow-the valley upstream of Hulongtan Village Power Station at Qiaotou; Steep volcanic landform-shadowless peak scenic spot.

Walking on the Green Tea Mountain is very interesting. Volcanic slag, micro-porous volcanic rocks and almond-shaped basalt all over the mountain are unexpected surprises.

Chongsi mountain

The youngest crater

Most crater remains found in Ninghai were formed by the third eruption 2 million years ago. It seems far away, but from the geological age, the Tertiary is very close to the present Quaternary and belongs to a very young geological landscape. The youngest crater in Ninghai should be located on Chongsi Mountain in the south of Sangyuan Village, West Gate of Chengguan, Ninghai County.

The elevation of this hill is less than 100 meter. Seen from the south of the mountain, it looks like a very ordinary hill. If someone hadn't pointed it out, I would never have thought it was a volcano, let alone a garden-like "secret realm"

From the low slope covered with yew, you can reach the secret realm in a short time. This is a barren and flattened land. Thanks to the nourishment of volcanic rocks, plants are particularly lush, and chirping birds are hidden in the forest. When you open your eyes, you will suddenly see a large area of weeds swaying in the wind, and cracks in a large area of dark rocks are clearly visible. After a night of rain, Sedum alfredii, a succulent plant, has a glittering luster, which is infinite love.

Soft moss, such as stars, flowers and broken rice, has a soft posture and can radiate the color of the first spring bud even in the coldest winter. There are several clusters under the water, which spread more widely and simply grow into duckweeds and sway in the water. There are also several sunken pits on the plane. The cracks in volcanic rocks are hard and dense, so it is all rain and the surrounding water vapor is very strong. Clouds float from time to time in the sky and cast mottled clouds in the pool, which is simply a mini version of "Little Tianchi in the South of the Yangtze River".

This "secret garden" is naturally cultivated, and the best gardener can't manage it. Unified * * * but two or three acres of aircraft, but the beauty is staggering, probably because of accidents. If you pay a little attention, you will find that the basalt formed by volcanic magma has not weathered into loess, and it is still dark and cold, indicating that the volcanic landform here is still very young. Experts estimate that the age of these basalts will not exceed 1 ten thousand years-1 ten thousand years. In the geological circle, they are still children.

These dark brown young volcanic rocks are slightly weathered and split into many polygons, which makes you think that they are many independent stones. In fact, it's just that the surface layer is disintegrating day by day. These stones are still closely connected underground, so you can't dig any stone from the ground alone.

Except Chashan and Chongsi Mountain.
