In the Eastern Han Dynasty, it belonged to Yongchang County. In the Three Kingdoms, he surrendered to Zhuge Liang's Southern Expedition Army and established Shu Han Yunnan County. During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, it belonged to Heyang County and Xihe County successively. At that time, the Bai nationality had taken shape, and many cities were built by Erhai Lake.
In the early Tang Dynasty, there were six tribes around Erhai Lake, called Liu Zhao. In Tang Gaozong, five imperial edicts except Mengshe were conquered by Tubo. In 737 (the 26th year of Tang Kaiyuan), the leader of Mengshe imperial edict merged with other five imperial edicts to establish Nanzhao Kingdom, and moved the capital from Mengshe (now Weishan) to Taihe City (now Taihe Village). On this basis, he continued to conquer the surrounding areas and controlled most of Yunnan Province today.
From 750 A.D. (the 9th year of Tianbao) to 754 A.D., the Tang Dynasty sent a wise and foolish leader, Zhong Tong, and Mina Lee to attack Nanzhao three times. Luo Feng, the prince of Nanzhao, formed an alliance with Tubo and defeated Tang Jun three times, which is called Tianbao War in history.
In 779 (Tang Dynasty), the great-grandson of Pirog moved to Yangmei City, now the ancient city of Dali. Nanzhao made Dali its capital, totaling 163. In the tenth year of Zhenyuan, Tang Dezong sent an envoy to Nanzhao to join forces with Wang Yimou of Nanzhao in Cangshan. Peace has been restored between the two countries.
In 902 (two years after Tang Zhaozong), Zheng Maisi, the powerful minister of Nanzhao, seized power and established "Dachang and Guoguo". In 927, Yang Ganzhen supported Zhao Shanzheng to establish "rejuvenating the country through heaven", and later became king on his own, building "the country is not as good as righteousness". In 937 (the second year of Tianfu in the Jin Dynasty), Duan Siping also established its capital, Yang Mao, with the title of Dali. Duan claimed to be a descendant of the Han people. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he vigorously promoted Chinese culture and sent envoys to trade with the Southern Song Dynasty.
After 3 16 years, Dali was destroyed by Kublai Khan of Yuan Shizu in 1253. 1274, in order to facilitate the rule, the Yuan Dynasty established Yunnan Province in Chicheng (also known as Zhongqing Road, now Kunming City, Yunnan Province), and also established Dali Road and Taihe County, which were subordinate to Yunnan Province. Since then, the central city of Yunnan has been transferred from Dali to Kunming.
138 1 year, the Ming army captured Dali, Dali Road was changed to Dali House, and Taihe County was still ruled, and a new Fucheng was built, which is today's ancient city of Dali. 1659, the Qing army invaded Yunnan. The Qing dynasty followed the system of the Ming dynasty. 1856 (the sixth year of Xianfeng, Qing dynasty), the Hui uprising broke out in Yunnan, and the Muslim regime in Du Wenxiu was established, which controlled most parts of Yunnan.
After the founding of the Republic of China, Dali Prefecture was revoked and Taihe County was renamed Dali County. 1950, Shimonoseki separated, 1983, Shimonoseki merged with Dali county to form county-level Dali city. Now it is the seat of the state capital of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, and about two-thirds of Dali's population is Bai.
