The Clown is a feature film directed by Todd Phillips and starring joaquin phoenix. On August 3, 20 19, it was released at Venice Film Festival, and on August 4, 20 19, it was released in the United States.

The film tells the story that Arthur, a comedian in trouble in the 1980s, gradually went to a nervous breakdown, started a crazy criminal career in Gotham, and finally became Batman's sworn enemy.
