What historical common sense is often misunderstood by everyone?
Common sense of history should be everyone's most basic understanding of what happened in history. People think it impossible to make mistakes. However, in fact, there are a lot of historical common sense that everyone often talks about, but it is wrong. Here are some common-sense mistakes that are easily misled:

(a) is there really a bonfire play princes?

Many people are not only familiar with the warlord story in the bonfire drama, but also many people with low educational level relish this story and even explain it. But in fact, the allusions of the princes in the bonfire drama are mostly false.

The warlord of bonfire drama first appeared in Sima Qian's Historical Records, but this story is probably based on Sima Qian's field investigation and hearsay. According to Sima Qian's records, there are actually several points that are untenable:

First, from the way of communication, bonfire communication was not applicable in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and it was widely used only in the Warring States period;

Secondly, from the comparison of history books, in the history books recorded earlier than Sima Qian's, such as the history books of the Warring States, although it was recorded that Shen Hou colluded with Rong Di to defeat the king of Zhou, which led to the demise of the Western Zhou Dynasty, it did not record the story of the bonfire drama princes.

Third, according to the geographical location, the distance between the vassal States and the capital of the Western Zhou Dynasty is different. If the vassal States are summoned by bonfires, it is almost impossible to reach the capital of the Western Zhou Dynasty at the same time.

(2) There were no women in the ancient imperial examination system.

In the impression of many people, the imperial examination system is often the only way for ancient men to gain fame. People often think that it is natural for men to participate in the imperial examination system under the social atmosphere and hierarchical concept of ancient times that men are superior to women, and it is naturally impossible for women to participate in the imperial examination system because of their low status.

However, in the Song Dynasty, a dynasty with a strict hierarchy like Neo-Confucianism, it happened that women participated in the imperial examination system.

According to the Collection of Manuscripts of the Song Dynasty, there was a nine-year-old girl named Lin Youyu who applied for the examination of children's science. The key point was that she passed the inspection of Zhongshu Province in the Song Dynasty. Song Xiaozong, the emperor at that time, was very happy because he gave the girl a title.

So what is a boy family? In fact, the ancient imperial examination system is not only the imperial examination, but also the most important subject in the imperial examination system. In the Song Dynasty, the number of subjects in imperial examinations was simply amazing:

Including but not limited to the following subjects, such as Three Rites, Nine Classics, Familiarity, Education, Ci, Painting, Martial Arts, etc. Naturally, the nine-year-old girl took part in the boy's class.

According to the provisions of the Song Dynasty, the so-called boy scout subject is actually a child under the age of 15 who is proficient in Confucian classics and knows poetry and songs. They took the exam on the recommendation of the local governor, and finally the emperor took the exam himself.

Because the officials who set up the imperial examination system at that time did not expect that there would be women signing up and did not specifically point out men when stipulating the qualifications of candidates, Lin Youyu seized the opportunity this time.
