Qu Aiguo protected the mine, actively invested in modern commerce and set up new schools. Later, Qu raised funds in various ways, forcibly redeemed the mining right of Shanxi Mining Company from Britain, reorganized the Match Company, and donated 22,000 yuan to establish Qixian Girls' Middle School. Everything he did was realized by the economic foundation that his father had laid for him. This plaque is in recognition of the outstanding contributions of the Qu family in commerce and finance.
