Xixi County is located in the middle of Fujian Province, with beautiful scenery and outstanding people. It is adjacent to Minqing County and Yongtai County in the east, Dawashan County in the west, Dehua County in the south and Yanping District in Nanping City in the north, enjoying the reputation of "Pearl of Fujian". It covers an area of 3,463 square kilometers, ranking second in all counties (cities, districts) in the province. Among them, the mountainous area is 4 1.85 million mu, and the cultivated land is 343,000 mu. The natural situation is about "eight mountains, one water and one field". Youxi has a long history and profound cultural accumulation. As early as 4000 years ago, there was human labor in Youxi County in the new time machine era. In the 29th year of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty (AD 74 1), a county was established, with Youxi in the territory as the county name and alias Shen Xi. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Nanping District, and 1970 was changed to Sanming District (city).

Youxi county is rich in tourism resources. Since the development of Penglai Mountain in the Zhenguan period of Tang Dynasty (627 ~ 649) and the construction of Guanyin Buddha statue in its heyday, the number of scenic spots has gradually increased. Eight scenic spots in Youxi have been formed in the city, namely, the two peaks hanging on the sun, the two waters are bright, the east cliff roars, the front of Cizeron, the Yin Qing in Yuxi, the golden carp exhibition spring, the Niu Ling tobacco planting and the Longtai snow fishing. Later, on the basis of the original eight scenic spots, eight scenic spots were added, namely Wenshan Yuzhe, Gongzi Chengshan, Yuantou flowing water, Banmu Fangtang, Longmen Ancient Cave, Pingyang in Tang Chuan, Gaoshan flowing water and weeping willows in Zhai Wei. Qingyinfang in the south of the city is the birthplace of Zhu, a Neo-Confucianism scholar in the Song Dynasty, forming a cultural tourism scenic spot. Now there are 33 scenic spots in this city. There are also a number of new scenic spots in China, such as Xibin Reservoir Area Scenic Area, Longting Lake Scenic Area, Daopaiyan Forest Hunting Resort, Jiufushan Provincial Nature Reserve, Guifeng Historical and Cultural Village in Yangzhong Town, Banmian Penglai Mountain Scenic Area, Zhentoushan Scenic Area and Fuhuyan Scenic Area.
