First, take the fief as the surname. At the beginning of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Zhou Pingwang, the youngest son of Ji Yijiu, was sealed in Ruzhou (now Ruzhou City, Henan Province). Later generations took the fief as their surname and became Shi Ru. See the source of surname.
Second, take people as surnames. During the Yin and Shang Dynasties, there were Confucian Ku and Confucian Fang, both of whom were senior officials. Later, their descendants took the name of their ancestors and became a surname of yours. See the book.
Third, take the name of water as the surname. There was your water in ancient times. In southern Henan, some residents are named after Rushui, also known as Shi Ru.
