Peanut variety
Peanut is an important oil-bearing crop, with a wide variety. There are 540 varieties recorded in the literature and 30 excellent varieties. In the spot circulation, peanuts are generally divided into big peanuts and big peanuts, dragons, pearl beans and camels, which can generally be distinguished according to some obvious characteristics.
Peanut type
The main stem is covered with vegetative buds, and the buds and reproductive branches on the side branches appear alternately for the first time and the second time. Fruits grow underground, but most of them have no beak and keel, and the surface of pods is smooth and the shell is thick. They bloom in June and July. The flowers are white and odorless.
Dragon type
The main stem grows section by section, and almost all of them are creeping. The lateral branches lie on the ground, the trunk is clearly visible, the keel and beak of the pod are obvious, the cross section of the pod is oblate, the veins of the leaves are obvious, and the flowers bloom in July and August, and the flowers are white and odorless.
Pearl bean type
Except for the base of the main stem, the lateral branches are relatively small, and the pods are cocoon-shaped or gourd-shaped. Typical Shuang Ren pods are thin-shelled, beaked or beaked, with or without waist, and bloom from July to September, with white flowers, reticulated pods, round seeds and no fragrance.
Camel type
This variety of peanut has many branches on the main stem, all of which have flower branches, short internodes, many branches, about 10 ~ 16, and few side branches. It is a typical multi-grain variety with purple or reddish brown seed coat, and some varieties are dark red, which blooms from July to September and has no fragrance.
medium-sized
This variety has one obvious characteristic: First, the main branches and lateral branches are continuous, with many twists, high fertilization rate, high Shuang Ren fruit fullness index, common pod or gourd shape, large or large fruit, shallow reticulation, pink seed coat and maturity in July.
