The Centennial Celebration of the Primary School Affiliated to Quanzhou Normal University
The primary school affiliated to Quanzhou Teachers College, a century-old school, 1980 was recognized as one of the first batch of 16 key primary schools in Fujian Province by the Education Department. Adhering to the tenet of "educating people in an all-round way and running a school with characteristics", the school has made remarkable achievements and won wide praise from people from all walks of life on the big booth of quality education. It has been awarded more than 20 honorary titles at or above the provincial level, such as "Famous Primary School in Fujian Province", "Advanced School for Implementing Quality Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in Fujian Province", "Model Primary School in Fujian Province" and "China Characteristic School". Since the school was founded 100 years ago, it has trained tens of thousands of qualified graduates for the country, and its alumni are all over the world, making great contributions to the country and society.

During the celebration, the fifth detachment of the city ceremoniously cut the ribbon for the newly-built Peiyuan teaching building. Liang Lingguang, the former governor of Guangdong Province and an old alumnus, and Shi Yongkang, secretary of the municipal party committee, unveiled the monument of "Walking into Datong", while Huang Shaoping, director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangdong Province, and Zheng Daoxi, mayor, unveiled the monument of "Centennial Fenghua".
