Historical Evolution of Huichuan District
Zunyi Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in July 1992, and it is one of the first three provincial economic and technological development zones in the province.

1998 the party working Committee and management Committee of Zunyi economic and technological development zone were reorganized into county-level agencies of the municipal party Committee and municipal government, and were upgraded to national economic and technological development zones on 20 10.

On February 26th, 2003, 65438 Zunyi Economic and Technological Development Zone was officially approved by the State Council to establish Huichuan District of Zunyi City.

On June 8, 2004, Huichuan District was formally established.

In 2004, Gaoping Town, Tuanze Town, Sidu Town and Banqiao were included in Huichuan District from Zunyi County;

On March 20 16, the State Council agreed to cancel Zunyi County and set up Bozhou District, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province. The administrative area of Zunyi County (excluding Shanpen Town, Sesame Town, Shawan Town, Shi Mao Town, Song Lin Town, Xinzhou Town, Xiazi Town, Sandu Town, Yongle Town and Horn Town) is the administrative area of Bozhou District, and the people's government of Bozhou District is located in the west of Nanbai Town. Shanpen Town, Sesame Town, Shawan Town, Shi Mao Town and Song Lin Town of Zunyi County were placed under the jurisdiction of Huichuan District of Zunyi City. Beijing Road Street in Huichuan District of Zunyi City is under the jurisdiction of Honghuagang District of Zunyi City.
